Rico's artwork reflects and represents the secrets of the universe, the supernatural knowledge of creation, and the wonders of the world. In his art, he expresses: creativity, mysticism, spirituality, philosophy, poetry, and the history of life and its activities.
For the past 35 years he has been exhibiting and selling his artwork in malls, fairs, and galleries, but most of all in New York City's Greenwich Village, in Washington Square Park, and at the corner of McDougal and West 4th Street, where millions of people have been touched and inspired by his artwork and his messages. He has received during those years great compliments from artists such as Keith Harring and Basquiat. When the two first arrived in New York City, they were inspired by Rico's work and became friends of his, often stopping by to see him, thanking him for the inspiration and determination to go on. Some have said he is the Michelangelo of the 21st Century. To others, he is the Bob Dylan of art. But, Rico is as unique, original, genius, and creative as all the masters of art that have existed in the history of the world of art.
